I am so lucky that Boston is the city I can call home. I love to go around and explore the nooks of the city to find it’s hidden treasures. One that I discovered over the summer was Root, a restaurant in Allston, Massachusetts.
Root is mostly local food and plant-inspired, making it a perfect vegetarian or vegan hotspot. This restaurant also alerts you of three different allergens-gluten, dairy, peanuts- to make your restaurant experience healthier and happier.
On my latest visit to Root I purchased the “Root Burger.” This is by far one of the tastiest veggie burgers I have had in my life. It is a black bean and quinoa burger (house made) with lettuce, tomato, crispy onions, and garlic aioli. You can get it with a side of salad or herbed fries. I decided to indulge with the herbed fries, and it was definitely the right decision.
Root has many different options ranging from a BBQ Portabella Sandwich to a Sweet Potato Quesadilla. They also have a small menu of freshly made juices- made from a mix of vegetables and fruits.
I cannot wait to try the various creative items on the Root menu. If you are ever in Boston do not hesitate to stop by this restaurant or order take out. It is a choice you will not regret! If you’re not full, stop by next door at FoMu for some vegan ice cream.
